“BLACK MURF DAWN” – Venice Beach. Limited Edition Collectors Artist Print by Bart Saric
Description:
Hand drawn and digitally painted using photoshop, this piece was inspired by surfing Venice, California for decades and the song “Black Hole Sun” by ‘Soundgarden. My point, aside from the striking MURF sun bringing in the dawn energy at the beach, was to have the main three spots I’ve surfed shown in concession lighting up down the beach. The Venice Breakwater, Venice Jetty and the Venice Pier all in a Birds Eye view while a powerful and electric swell surges from multiple directions fueled by the mysterious sun god of a distant space.
There are usually at least a 1000 stories to each image & this piece I created contains just that. A couple obvious details are the early bird tube rider slotted behind the rocks, while the second taker prepares for the paddle out. A little nostalgic & futuristic all in one. This one of a kind image available now for your home, collection and enjoyment.
